A full-size SmartCap EVO weighs approximately 180-220 pounds depending on your truck bed length, which is 15-25% lighter than comparable aluminum caps and about the same as traditional fiberglass.

The EVO requires precise alignment to your truck bed rails and proper torque specifications on mounting clamps to ensure weather sealing performs as designed. Our dealers have vehicle-specific jigs and training to guarantee correct installation. DIY installation may compromise weather sealing and void warranty coverage.
Our Universal Track System accepts all SmartCap-branded accessories including drawer systems, shelf modules, tie-down anchors, ski racks, and fishing rod holders. The tracks use standard T-slot profiles that also fit many third-party accessories designed for modular mounting systems.
We publish complete dimensional specifications for the track profile so you can verify compatibility with accessories from other manufacturers. Most rack and storage system companies now offer SmartCap-compatible mounting hardware as a standard option.

Every SmartCap EVO includes our lifetime structural warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on the composite shell. We also provide a lifetime warranty against water leaks when properly installed and maintained.
Paint finish carries a 5-year warranty against fading, peeling, or delamination. Moving components including hinges, gas struts, locks, and windows are covered for 3 years. The roof rack system includes a 5-year structural warranty covering the integrated mounting points and crossbar system.
